Kilimanjaro Uncovered started with a simple idea—to review a little-known hiking route, the Northern Circuit. It ended with a truly life-changing experience—turning my life upside down, for the better.

This life changing trip inspired me to write a book, Kilimanjaro Uncovered, through which I invite you to join me, devoid of beautification and exaggeration, and to look deeper behind the facades. Hopefully my story will help others find happiness in their own adventures, be it on Kilimanjaro or elsewhere.

As I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, I was moved by the story of one of my porters. He had fallen sick while working and his employer – a local tour company – simply left him behind to die.
